Privacy Policy

The short version

You can use Study Scheduler without an account. Your plan then stays in your own browser and isn't sent to us.
If you create an account, we keep your email address, your study plans and your settings so you can use them on any device.
We don't show ads, we don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use analytics or tracking tools.
Accounts are for people 13 and older. Users under 18 get extra protections, described below.
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

1. Who we are

Study Scheduler (study-scheduler.com) is run by Stem Tutor 360 LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731 ("we", "us"). Questions about privacy: contact@stemtutor360.com.

2. Information we collect

If you don't create an account. Your exam choice, dates, study hours and progress are stored only in your web browser on your device. We don't receive them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

If you create an account:

Sign-in details: your email address and a password (handled and stored securely by Google Firebase; we never see your password). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and, if your Google account has them, your name and profile picture. We don't display or use your name or picture.
Your age: when you create an account we ask your birth month and year. We keep only your birth year and whether you're under 18, so we can apply the protections for younger users.
Your study plan: the exam you're preparing for, your test date, available hours and days off, topics you mark as hard or skip, practice-test scores you enter, scores from a previous attempt you enter, study materials you choose, which days you complete, and your preferred study times.
Reminder preferences: whether you want reminder emails and when.
Purchase records: if you buy Plus, our payment provider Stripe tells us the purchase succeeded and gives us a checkout reference number. We record that your account has Plus. We never receive or store your card number.

Waitlist. If you join a waitlist for an exam we don't offer yet, we keep your email address and the exam you chose.

Score report files. If you choose a score report file (for example an NCEES diagnostic report), it's read inside your browser to fill in your scores. The file isn't uploaded to us.

Technical information. When you visit, our hosting and database provider (Google Firebase) and the font service (Google Fonts) receive your IP address and basic browser information, as any website does, to deliver the pages. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs to keep the service running and secure.

We don't knowingly collect health information, precise location, your school's name, your phone number or your home address.

3. How we use it

To build, save and sync your study plan, and to show it on your devices.
To send reminder emails, only if you turn them on.
To provide Plus features you've bought and to handle refunds.
To answer your messages and requests.
To keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent abuse.
To email you once when an exam you joined a waitlist for becomes available.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't build profiles about you for marketing.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We use these service providers, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us:

Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): sign-in, data storage, the server code that runs the app, and website hosting.
Google Fonts: the fonts the site displays.
Stripe: payment processing. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the payment details you give it.
Resend: sending reminder and account emails.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business (in which case this policy's protections continue to apply to your information).

5. Cookies, browser storage and Do Not Track

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. We use your browser's storage only for things the site needs: your plan when you're not signed in, your sign-in session, your light or dark theme, and unsaved choices while you set up a plan. Because we don't track you, we respond to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals the same way we treat every visitor: with no tracking.

6. Users under 18

Under 13: Study Scheduler accounts are for people 13 and older. If you tell us you're under 13, we don't create an account or keep your information; you can still make a plan without an account. If we learn that we have information from a child under 13, we delete it within 14 days.
13 to 17: we collect only what your study plan needs. Reminder emails start turned off, and we don't send you marketing emails. We never sell your information or use it for advertising. You (or your parent or guardian) can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Purchases: if you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to complete any purchase.

7. For parents and guardians

If your child uses Study Scheduler, you can email contact@stemtutor360.com to ask what information we have, to correct it, or to delete the account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, tell us and we'll delete it within 14 days. We may ask a few questions to confirm the request is genuine before acting on it.

8. Your choices and rights

Delete your account: use "Delete my account" in your account menu. This removes your account, plans and settings.
See or correct your information: most of it is visible and editable in the app. For anything else, email us.
Reminder emails: turn them off any time in your account menu; every reminder email explains how.
Some states give residents additional rights, such as to know, access, correct and delete their personal information. We honor these requests from anyone, wherever they live, and reply within 30 days.

9. How long we keep it

Your account and plans: while your account is active. If you don't sign in for 24 months, we may delete the account after emailing you first.
When you delete your account: removed from our systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require. Stripe keeps its own payment records.
Waitlist emails: deleted after we email you that the exam is available, unless you sign up.
Technical logs: about 30 days.

10. Security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase in the United States. It's encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by access rules that let only you reach your plans, and our administrative accounts use two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

11. Notices for specific states

California: we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. California users under 18 can ask us to remove anything they've posted; Study Scheduler has no public posting, and you can delete your plans at any time. Nevada: we don't sell covered information. Other state privacy laws may apply depending on where you live; the rights in section 8 are available to everyone.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app or by email before it takes effect.
